Education is not confined to the classroom. Field trips provide students with opportunities to learn directly from real-world environments, enriching their learning experiences through hands-on interaction with objects, places, or phenomena relevant to their studies. Many lessons become easier to understand when students see their applications in real life. Field trips also offer opportunities to develop social skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. Furthermore, these activities foster independence and responsibility among students. Activities outside the classroom allow students, teachers, and even parents involved to build closer relationships, creating a more harmonious and supportive learning environment.
This was exemplified by the activities conducted by Thursina International Boarding School, located in Landungsari, Malang. This one-day event served as a follow-up to the visitation made by The Sages International to Thursina School. Beyond being a follow-up, the activity aimed to provide a brief yet valuable experience for teachers and students, introduce several degree and non-degree programs offered by The Sages International, and explore opportunities for organizing future field trips.

The series of campus tour activities held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at The Sages International campus in Pandaan showcased the academic environment at Sages. It also highlighted the campus facilities, including the kitchen, lecture halls, cafeteria, and profiles of the founder and alumni. “A visit to The Sages International wouldn’t be complete without a cooking practice session,” said Melva Hutagalung, an admissions staff member. Teachers and students from Thursina had the opportunity to experience cooking one of Korea’s popular and beloved dishes, Chicken Popcorn with Korean Sauce. This two-hour session was led by Chef Mahmudi from the Culinary Arts department at The Sages International. All participants thoroughly enjoyed the activity, and Thursina has expressed its openness to collaborating with The Sages in education, research, and community service.
